Findlay Market Gallery Added
Sunday, 17 December 2006

Over-the-Rhine has always fascinated me.  I find the buildings of this neighborhood to be some of the most beautiful architecture in the city.  There are very few cities in the Midwest that have a historic urban neighborhood like Over-the-Rhine so intact.  After breakfast I headed to Findlay Market to photograph the people and the architecture of the market.  Upon arrival I was reminded that I don’t visit the market enough and there aren’t many places in the city that offer such a great combination of people watching, shopping and eating.  After out mid morning stroll through the market we made our way downtown to enjoy some ice-skating.  The square was packed again with over an hour wait at times for skate rentals. The renewed energy in the square is great to see.  You can view the Findlay Market gallery here.

A Saturday Walk Through The Queen City
Monday, 11 December 2006

It is truly a pleasure to be home in Cincinnati for multiple weekends.  It seems like I have been on the road 70% of my time over the past six months.  The more I visit other cities, the more I love Cincinnati.  It is a great place to live and truly a great city to enjoy the holidays.

On Saturday, my family was at a concert so it gave me most of the day to play photographer.  I met up with friends throughout different parts of the day to walk and photograph the Queen City.  In the evening I ate dinner at Vinyl in Over-the-Rhine.  The food & atmosphere were fantastic but the portions were small.  Overall it met my expectations and I recommend it for people who are interested in trying new things and like a hip contemporary scene.  My latest photos are spread throughout multiple galleries so you can the collection here.

Bengals Photos
Sunday, 10 December 2006
I was invited to the Bengals game today by some friends and couldn't pass up on the opportunity.  It was a great game with some great weather.  This was my 4th game at Paul Brown Stadium and my 6th overall.  The fans have come a long way since I moved here in 2003.  This was the 27th consecutive sell-out at Paul Brown Stadium.   You can find the latest Bengals photos in this gallery.

Xavier Basketball
Tuesday, 05 December 2006
I had the opportunity to go to a Xavier game tonight.  The seats were fantastic and the game was exciting.  I tried out my new camera and was pleasantly surprised with the outcome of some of the photos.  The lens is not meant for indoor sports action and the f-stop only goes to f/3.5 at 18mm but overall I was pleased with the set.  You can view the gallery here.
