Amsterdam, Paris & Brussels photos now online PDF Print E-mail

Two months after my visit to Europe, I finally uploaded the photos I thought were significant enough to share.  Going through each photo again brought back some great memories from this trip.  If there is a magical place in this world, I think I found it in Amsterdam and Paris, two of my favorite cities.  I simply can’t get enough of Paris and this was my first visit to Amsterdam and it surpassed my expectations.  The third city I visited was Brussels, Belgium.  It is the headquarters to the European Union and while it is quite a bit smaller than the other two cities, the architecture of Grand Place was nothing short of stunning.  The history, pedestrian friendly walkways and fantastic cafés were all so picturesque and the people in the cities we visited were very welcoming.  This was my second trip to Paris and I didn’t experience any of the typical stereotypes you hear about the French.  My daughter made a conscience effort to speak French to locals and they were very grateful and enjoyed communicating with her.  Belgium is a bilingual city of French and Dutch but most of the people we conversed with spoke French.  Amsterdam’s native language is Dutch but we never needed to look at our translation book while we were there since everyone spoke English.  Overall I recommend all three cities to visitors.
